Adamsville, AL – Two Killed in Bankhead Hwy Auto Wreck

Adamsville, AL (February 28, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident was reported on Monday morning in the Adamsville area. The incident occurred at around 11:50 a.m. on February 26.

According to reports provided by local news sources, a pickup truck was heading eastbound in the 1500 block of Bankhead Highway during the morning hours. As the vehicle proceeded forward, it collided with a car in the area not far from Cherry Avenue. The impact of the crash caused the car to spin around. The truck proceeded forward in the wrong direction before striking multiple other vehicles. Two people involved in the accident were pronounced deceased on site. One additional victim was injured and transported to an area hospital for emergency care. At this time, the accident is under investigation.
