Baldwin County, AL – Kim Sung Gov Loses Life in Car Crash on Route 87 near Merchant Ln

Baldwin County, AL (August 21, 2023) – A fatal accident reported just outside of Elgin on Friday claimed one person’s life.

At around 5:50 p.m. on August 18, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to the scene of an automobile collision that took place on Route 87.

According to law enforcement, a collision between vehicles took place on the roadway near Merchant Lane. The driver of one of the vehicles, identified as 40-year-old Kim Sung Gov, was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

ALEA reports show that Sung Gov’s vehicle was struck by a truck for unknown reasons. Two people in the truck were injured and transported to Gulf Shore Free Standing Hospital for emergency care.

Investigations into the accident are currently underway.
