Birmingham, AL – Man Killed in Fire in Mobile Home on Field St

Birmingham, AL (September 23, 2024) – A fatal fire occurred early Friday morning, September 20, when an 82-year-old man lost his life in a fire at a mobile home located in the 3600 block of Field St. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Harold Edward Wright.


The fire was reported at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday, prompting a swift response from Graysville Fire & Rescue and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered Wright’s body inside the residence. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
