Fatal Car Accidents in Butler County

Butler County has seen a rise in fatal car accidents in recent years. In 2022, the state recorded 986 fatalities from 907 crashes, many occurring during nighttime hours. Rural areas, such as Butler County, have a higher percentage of fatalities, largely due to factors like seat belt non-use and hazardous stretches of highways, particularly Interstate 65.

Wrongful death claims arise when a person's death is caused by another's negligence, such as distracted driving, speeding, or driving under the influence. In such cases, surviving family members can file lawsuits to seek compensation for funeral expenses, lost wages, and emotional distress. Consulting an attorney can help families understand their legal rights and explore the avenues for pursuing justice and compensation.
