Calera, AL – Tracy Dkye Killed in Bus Crash on Smokey Rd
Calera, AL (October 9, 2023) – The Shelby County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 62-year-old Tracy Dyke suffered fatal injuries due to a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Calera.
On October 7, authorities were called to the scene of an automobile accident on Smokey Road.
Reports show that a vehicle collision involving a school bus and a second automobile occurred on the roadway. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway while assisting.
One person involved in the accident, identified as Dyke, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased by authorities.
Children on the bus were treated for injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the Shelby County Traffic Homicide Taskforce and the Shelby Police Department at this time.
