Chambers County, AL - Richard H Fetner Loses Life in AL-77 Crash

Chambers County, AL (September 8, 2023) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was requested at the scene of a fatal accident that took place on Tuesday evening in Chambers County.


Reports provided by AL EA indicate that at around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a crash on Alabama 77.


According to reports from the state troopers, 69-year-old Richard H. Fetner was operating a Kubota lawnmower near the roadway when it was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.


The driver of the pickup truck, 58-year-old Nathaniel Cole, was not injured in the accident. Fetner was fatally injured due to the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.


The incident is being investigated at this time.
