Cherokee County, AL – Two Killed in Auto Accident on US-411 near County Rd 225
Cherokee County, AL (May 22, 2023) – Emergency officials confirmed that two people lost their lives as a result of a car crash that took place on Friday evening in Cherokee County.
Alabama state troopers were dispatched to the sum of an accident at approximately 6:56 p.m. on May 19.
Reports from authorities indicate that a collision between a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2009 Toyota Corolla occurred on US Highway 411 in the area near County Road 225.
A 12-year-old male and a 75-year-old male were both fatally injured as a result of the crash. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other victims, including three inside the Jeep and one in the Toyota, were all transported to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Alabama, for emergency medical treatment.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
