Dadeville, AL – Two Killed in Prison Bus Crash on Elder Rd
Dadeville, AL (April 12, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident on Wednesday in Dadeville claimed the lives of two people while leaving multiple others injured. The accident occurred on April 10.
According to local news sources, a prison transport bus with the Alabama Department of Corrections was traveling on Elder Road in the Dadeville area while transporting seven inmates to the Alex City Community Based Facility. For reasons unknown, the van became involved in a collision just east of State Route 49.
Two people involved in the accident were fatally injured. One of the victims, identified as Willie Crayton, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim, Bruce Clements, was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Multiple other victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care.
