Gurley, AL – One Killed, Two Hurt in Commercial Vehicle Crash on US-72 near Rock Cut Rd
Gurley, AL (September 13, 2023) – A fatal crash reported in the Gurley area claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred on September 11 during the afternoon hours.
According to reports provided by Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc., a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle collided on Highway 72 in the area near Rock Cut Road.
The incident prompted the police to shut down a portion of the roadway.
One person was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim suffered severe injuries and was transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Service, where they were admitted in critical condition. One additional victim was also transported to an area hospital for medical care.
