Jasper, AL – Sherry M. Pike Killed in Rollover Crash on AL-269

Jasper, AL (January 19, 2024) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that 50-year-old Sherry M. Pike lost her life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Walker County on Tuesday evening, January 16.

At around 9:30 p.m., emergency officials were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Alabama Route 269, just three miles outside of Jasper. Preliminary investigations show that a 2004 Ford expedition was traveling on the roadway when it became involved in a collision. The Ford went off the roadway and overturned. The driver of the vehicle, 49-year-old Jennifer Davis of Huntsville, Alabama, was injured in the accident and transported to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama for emergency care.

Pike, who was a passenger in the Ford, was ejected. She’s sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, investigations into the accident are underway by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.
