Jefferson Co, AL – Fatal Collision on Pinson Valley Pkwy

Jefferson Co, AL (March 12, 2025) – A tragic collision occurred on Tuesday evening in the eastern part of Jefferson County, leaving one woman dead and four others hospitalized, including two children. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported that the accident happened around 6:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the 2900 block of Pinson Valley Parkway, near the Center Point area. Battalion Chief Chris Horn of Center Point Fire and Rescue confirmed that three vehicles were involved in the crash on this heavily trafficked road.


Emergency responders arrived quickly, assisting in the extraction of people from the wreckage. Sadly, a woman, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was declared dead at the scene. Two children were transported to Children’s of Alabama Hospital, while two adults were also taken to nearby medical facilities. The extent of the injuries to the survivors has not been released. Authorities are currently working to determine the cause of the accident.


The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has closed the road for investigation, while fire and rescue crews worked to clear the wreckage. The roadway remained shut down for several hours as officials continued their inquiries.
