Lawrence Co., AL – One Injured in Truck Collision on Hwy 20

Lawrence Co., AL (February 9, 2024) – A truck accident reported in Lawrence County on Wednesday morning sent one person to an area hospital with injuries. The incident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. on February 7.

 

According to law enforcement, an 18-wheeler was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Highway 20 in the Wheeler community. Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and closed off the roadway. Authorities confirmed that one person involved in the accident was injured. The victim was airlifted from the scene and flown by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital for emergency care. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and firefighters with Moulton Fire Department, Hillsboro Area Volunteer Fire Department, Decatur Fire & Rescue One, and Courtland Fire & Rescue all responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. ALEA is currently investigating.
