Madison Co., AL – One Killed in Winchester Rd Crash

Madison Co., AL (January 22, 2024) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that 61-year-old Mickey Williams of Huntland, Tennessee, lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred near the Alabama – Tennessee state line. ALEA was notified of the crash at around 11:40 a.m. on January 21.

According to area law enforcement, a motor vehicle accident occurred on Winchester Road in the area near the state line. The incident prompted authorities to close off the roadway for an extended period. A woman involved in the accident, identified as 45-year-old Elizabeth Armentrout, was severely harmed in the crash. She was transported by helicopter to Huntsville hospital and trauma services for emergency treatment. A man involved in the accident, identified as Williams, was pronounced deceased on site. The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
