Mobile, AL – Car & Dump Truck Collide on Bellingrath Rd near Half Mile Rd

Mobile, AL (May 5, 2023) – One person was left with significant injuries following a crash that took place in Mobile on Thursday morning.


On May 4, the Mobile Police Department, the Theodore Fire Department, and the Fowl River Fire Department assisted troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Bellingrath Road.


Reports from authorities show that a car and a dump truck collided on the roadway near Half Mile Road. The incident prompted officials to shut down a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene.


One person became trapped inside the car and had to be extricated by firefighters. Fire crews removed the roof of the sedan to remove the driver. The victim was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment.


The incident is currently being investigated.
