Moulton, AL – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Ambulance on AL-157

Moulton, AL (March 25, 2024) – Lawrence County Coroner Scott Norwood confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in the molten area on Saturday evening, March 23.

Reports from the Alabama state troopers indicate that an ambulance was in the process of transporting a patient from Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield to Birmingham at around 925 p.m. As the vehicle traveled along Alabama Highway 157, it collided with a motorcycle near the intersection of Lawrence County 243. The motorcycle was occupied by a 33-year-old male at the time of the accident. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
