Pelham, AL – Five Hurt in Truck Wreck on I-65 near Highway 119

Pelham, AL (June 9, 2023) – Several people were transported to area hospitals for the treatment of injuries following a major truck accident that took place in the Pelham area on Thursday, June 8.

Reports from the Alabama state troopers indicate that multiple vehicles, including an 18-wheeler that was hauling watermelons, collided on Interstate 65 at around 12:30 p.m.

The Alabama Department of Transportation reported significant delays in traffic along the northbound side of the interstate near Highway 119.

All of the lanes of travel on the northbound side were blocked by the crash, causing severe delays in the area.

Five people were hurt as a result of this accident. Medics were called to care for the injured victims before transporting them to local hospitals.
