Pine Hill, AL – Norman Pritchett Loses Life in Head-On Crash on Marengo County 55 near AL-25
Pine Hill, AL (June 16, 2023) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that one person has died as a result of a crash that took place in Marengo County on Tuesday afternoon, June 14.
At approximately 12:10 p.m., troopers with ALEA responded to the site of an accident that occurred on Marengo County 55.
Reports from authorities show that a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva collided head-on with a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado while traveling on the roadway in the area near Alabama 25. The accident prompted officials to shut down the roadway just 10 miles south of Pine Hill.
The driver of the Captiva, identified as 39-year-old Norman Pritchett, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased while being transported to an area hospital.
The driver of the Silverado, a 17-year-old, was injured. The victim was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
The crash is currently being investigated.
