Tuscaloosa, AL – Jennifer Fields Loses Life in Crash on US-82 near MM 33
Tuscaloosa, AL (September 1, 2023) – A 46-year-old woman lost her life following a pedestrian crash that occurred on Wednesday morning in Tuscaloosa County.
The accident was reported to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency at approximately 8:35 a.m. on August 30.
Official reports indicate that Jennifer Fields was walking in the area near mile marker 33 on US Highway 82. For unknown reasons, a 2017 Honda Accord passing through the area struck her.
The driver of the Honda, 27-year-old Destiny Hopkins, remained at the scene.
Fields was severely injured in the crash. She was transported by ambulance to DCH Regional Medical Center, where she passed away from her injuries.
Investigations into this fatal crash are currently underway by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.
